Cubro Family Open Day
We place a lot of emphasis on living and working by our company values. ‘Family’ is one of our values and so, on Monday 11th July, we asked the team to invite their families along to a Family Open Day at our new head office that was officially opened last month in Tauriko, Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty.
What a delight it was to watch the families’ reactions as they were given an interesting and informative guided tour around out new facility by Cameron Currie - Finance Manager and son of the late Garth Currie, one of the founders of Cubro, established 33 years ago.
It was special for the team to have their families visit and see what they do in a day. All of the children that came along seemed to enjoy the Cubro balloons and Cubro lollies that were handed out - there were a few adults that enjoyed this too! After the guided tour, we extended our hospitality a little further and our families were given the opportunity to share a lunch with us, prepared by our own Cubro Chef Lance Walker.
We talked to some of the team members after the event and asked what their families thought of our facility and the feedback was very positive. For example .....the level of care and attention that Cubro has put into future proofing this facility and making sure the team’s needs are met is incomparable..... the team are friendly and the tour was very interesting.....and..... lucky team!, What an amazing place to work.
The comment we seem to get most often is ‘where do I sign up for a job’ that in itself is a great endorsement.
