
Cubro New Head Office - Official Opening
On Friday 17th June 2016, we celebrated the opening of our new Head Office with an official ribbon cutting ceremony carried out by Hon. Simon Bridges, MP for Tauranga.
From our humble beginnings over 33 years ago, we have grown exponentially, enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and disabled by providing the latest cost-effective and innovative equipment solutions to the healthcare industry.
The completion of our new facility marks another milestone in our active growth and development strategy and, with yet more plans on the cards, puts us in good stead to become a world class business of the future.
We pride ourself on our values of teamwork, integrity, compassion, family, innovation, giving and recognise that having a close knit team of people who are aligned with these values is the key to our success. Therefore, we put a great deal of emphasis on caring for our team.
We worked with global design firm Unispace, to create an environment to engage, empower and inspire the team and to unlock potential. The working environment has been carefully designed to accommodate activity based working (ABW). There are a range of meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology, communal meeting areas with special acoustics, and intimate focus hubs. No team member in the company is assigned a specific desk - they are encouraged use a new work space every day. This way of working encourages interaction and collaboration, reduces the need for internal email and breaks down traditional and out-of-date hierarchical barriers.
In addition to the working environment, we care about the physical well being of our team. There is a cafe with a chef who provides complementary healthy food options every day and, in the near future, there will even be an in-house gym. Now that our official opening has taken place, we can set our sights on the next exciting milestone.
