When parents go to prison, the children suffer. The loss of a parent to prison can precipitate trauma and disruption that few experience without serious consequences. Pillars is a children's charity to support children and families of prisoners. Their aim is to assist these children in getting the support services needed to help prevent intergenerational offending and imprisonment.

Cubro have been involved with monetary donations to Pillars in the past but it was only recently that we could really contribute our knowledge, expertise and products in the best possible way.

Verna McFelin, Chief Executive of Pillars, enquired about the purchase of a ramp for accommodating a young lady in a wheelchair who wanted to become a mentor for the children. They weren’t able to include her due to the lack of wheelchair access to the building.

We offered one of our 3m ex-trial ramps in near new condition as a donation to help out. We recognise that Pillars is a not-for-profit organisation and require generosity and support from the community to ensure they continue to do an outstanding job.
