Vaccinations mandatory for all visitors to Cubro sites

Following the Government’s mandate for Health and Disability sector workers, last week we introduced new health and safety measures that mean from the 1st of December 2021, all contractors, and visitors must prove they are fully vaccinated before they can enter a Cubro worksite.

We are taking this measure because we have multiple sites throughout New Zealand, where contractors and visitors come and go from daily. We have identified that this poses a risk to our frontline staff, and in turn, our customers who provide health services to vulnerable New Zealanders.

Vaccination remains our strongest and most effective tool to protect against infection and disease and will help ensure that our frontline teams can continue to deliver everyday services with as little disruption as possible.

Cubro CEO Logan Currie hopes that companies contracting to Cubro will adopt similar policies. While the Government’s mandate for Health and Disability sector workers made the decision easier, Logan says encouraging everyone to get vaccinated fits with the company’s purpose and values.

“Cubro exists to help New Zealanders live quality lives,” says Logan. “The way we see it, we have a duty of care to protect vulnerable people, and being fully vaccinated is the best defence we have.”
