Designed for lighter patients, the Metzeler Viscoflo mattress provides pressure redistribution, pain management and comfort. The mattress significantly reduces peak pressures and achieves even distribution of body weight while reducing pressure gradients.

Using Metzeler's patented wave-cut technology, the mattress is fitted together without the use of adhesives. This achieves maximum airflow, prevents any moisture from being trapped, and enables the mattress to be used on any side.

The top layer, high-quality Metzomed viscoelastic foam, has a density of 60kgm³ and a compression hardness of 3.0hpa. The bottom layer is made of the Rubex Nawaro trio cell foam which has a structural mix of approximately 33% large, 33% medium, 33% small cells. The large cells are designed for pressure relief, the medium cells evenly distribute the load and the small cells provide support. It also provides excellent air permeability and moisture transport to help create a constant bed temperature. The foam reacts only to body pressure providing constant support over a wide temperature range (-5°C - +40°C.)

100% waterproof, the bi-elastic two-way stretch cover is breathable, oil-fat resistant, fungistatic, and flame retardant. (Standard BS7175). Can be machine washed (95°C).

For easy care, the Metzeler mattresses are fully washable in temperatures up to 60°C, a temperature which kills dust mites, with no degradation of the foam.

The foam is made from natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly raw materials whose basic component is sunflower seed oil (not petroleum-based).
