The Stabilo Base Doro cushion is a stabilising seat with a prominent pommel and side laterals. This enables abduction of legs and offers support to stabilise the whole pelvis. It can be easily shaped, formed, and reformed to suit the client's needs as they grow or if their condition changes.
By forming a wedge at the front of the cushion and channels for neutral thigh positioning, it creates a bucket seat shape, this can increase stability and safety by preventing the body from slipping forward and encourages the client to actively engage maintenance of good posture. This is a perfect solution for people with high muscle tone and can reduce the risk of contractures. The side laterals provide additional support for the pelvis and lower limbs while maintaining a neutral position.
