The Smartline Plus 5 dynamic alternating air mattress is an overlay designed to provide continual pressure redistribution and comfort. According to the EPUAP, this system is suitable for the treatment of pressure ulcers up to grade III.

Designed to be placed over any existing static mattress, the air cells inflate and deflate alternately over a 10-minute period to redistribute pressure. The control unit uses digital pressure sensor technology to ensure silent operation and a long product life. The compressors are designed to provide constant low pressure and switch off when reaching the pre-set system pressure. They will only re-activate when a cycle change occurs or to adjust the pressure if necessary. For the safety of the user, visual and audible alerts signal when the pressure is too low or there is a power failure.
