The Stabilo Comfortable Plus Duo Hilo cushion combines the features of the Stabilo Comfortable Plus cushion and the Stabilo Hilo Base cushion creating a self-supporting seat that provides stability and comfort. It can be used as a stand-alone seat or supplement the backrest and seat in a wheelchair, improving posture through the correct positioning of the pelvis, trunk, and head. It can be easily shaped, formed, and reformed to suit the client's needs as they grow or if their condition changes.
The stabilising pommel wedge enables abduction of the legs, allowing for postural asymmetries and neutral positioning of the lower limbs. By forming a wedge at the front of the cushion and channels for neutral thigh positioning it creates a bucket seat shape and prevents the body from slipping forward, encouraging the client to actively engage maintenance of good posture. This is a perfect solution for people with high muscle tone and can reduce the risk of contractures.
